形態特徵

Trees or shrubs; branchlets subglabrous.
Leaves subcoriaceous, oblong to oblong-ovate, 6–12 cm long, 4–6 cm wide, apex obtuse to acuminate, base rounded to subcordate, slightly pubescent along midrib, sparsely transparent glandular dotted on lower surface when young, lateral veins 4–7 pairs; petiole 1–3.5 cm long pubescent adaxially.
Inflorescence a corymb-like thyrse, pubescent. Flowers greenish white, with rather unpleasant odor; calyx 2-lipped, slightly 4- or 5-lobed, tube very sparsely pubescent, lobes minute, glabrous; corolla 2-lipped, 4-lobed, tube 3.5–4 mm long, glabrous outside, villous in throat inside.
Drupe globose, ca. 7 mm across, dark purple.

台灣 : widely distributed in lowlands and along the coast.
